Referate Account and Data Deletion

Referate is an academic AI app developed by Elmvick Software. This page explains how Referate users can request deletion of their app account and associated app data stored in our systems.

Request account or app data deletion by email

To request deletion of your Referate account, associated account data, or specific app data, email support@elmvick.com.

Use the subject line: Referate account deletion request. If you only want selected data deleted, you may use: Referate data deletion request.

Users may also request deletion of specific app data, such as selected projects, generated drafts, uploaded files, or other Referate data, without deleting their account. For a partial deletion request, describe the exact data you want deleted.

Please contact us from the email address connected to your Referate account when possible. If your account is anonymous or you cannot email from that address, include enough details for us to identify the account safely, such as your Referate user identifier if visible in the app, the email address used for sign-in, a Google Play order or subscription reference, project titles, approximate creation dates, or other account details you recognize.

What data is deleted

When an eligible full account deletion request is verified, we delete or anonymize account data and associated app data tied to that account, including academic projects, project requirements, source lists, generated drafts, summaries, study questions, export records, uploaded files, and files stored for the account in Firebase or Google Cloud.

When an eligible partial deletion request is verified, we delete the selected app data described in the request while keeping the Referate account active, unless you ask us to delete the account as well.

Data stored only on your device may need to be removed by clearing the app data or uninstalling Referate from your device.

Data we may retain

Some records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, abuse investigation, legal compliance, tax and payment records, accounting, or dispute resolution. Subscription and purchase records are processed by Google Play Billing and may remain available in your Google Play account according to Google's policies.

Deleting your Referate account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription. If you have an active subscription, cancel it through Google Play.

Processing time

We aim to respond to deletion requests and complete eligible account deletion requests within 30 days after we can verify the account and the request.
